Yoga Nidra 


Meditation is one of the most powerful tools available to promote physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness. It is simple to learn. The benefits of meditation that the yogi’s have been aware of for thousands of years are now just beginning to be validated in Western medicine. Double blind scientific studies are just beginning to touch the surface of these benefits. They range from lowering blood pressure, cholesterol levels, and anxiety, to enhancing the immune system, anti-aging, eliminating insomnia and increasing your overall levels of happiness, intelligence, and creativity. And of course enlightenment is the ultimate benefit of meditation.

Anna Marie teaches groups and individuals simple meditation techniques. Some of these techniques include using a mantra, focusing on the breath, inner body awareness, WALKING MEDITATION, and sense perception meditation. She takes meditation from the cushion into your daily life through mindfulness practice. Anna Marie teaches you to enjoy life in the present moment. You will develop "Presence Power" through her teachings. 



Anna Marie has studied yoga and meditation in India.  She has studied in person with many teachers including Eckhart Tolle,  Kim Eng, Gurudev, Dishsa McCord, Sawatri,  and Michael Singer.

Anna Marie is a certified meditation teacher.  She attended the first meditation teacher training in 1999 at Expanding Light and also the first level 2 training.  These certifications are based on the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda, who was one of the first yogi’s to bring meditation practices to the West.  He wrote “Autobiography of a Yogi.”  She has also taken classes from the Heart Math Institue.

Anna is trained and certified in Yoga Nidra by Amrit Desai.  Yoga Nidra (a sleep based meditation) feels like a guided meditation.  But it is much more than that.  It is so easy anyone can do it and it quickly takes you to the deep places that years of sitting meditation take you. 


Meditation is calming not only to the mind but also to the heart. Classes can range from a simple one-hour introductory class to an in-depth six-week or longer course.
