Your program will include:

                ~ Daily yoga and meditation classes lead by expert instructor, Anna Enea MS (RYT 500)                            

                ~ Daily wellness classes lead by Ann Doherty, director of Diabetic Education~Alta Bates

~Accommodations in villa/bed & Breakfast

~All meals and wine (gourmet home cooked organic meals at the villas as well as dining in local trattorias) including snacks and wine out by the pool in the afternoons.

~Week 1 in Farnese: Excursions to nearby Etruscan cities, secret gardens, hikes to caves, Mediterranean, lake Bolsena, visit local farm, tour of Farnese, and guided morning walks. 

~Tours will be lead by local Italians.

~5 day 4 night extension program in Rapolano: Chianti wine  tour , thermal hot baths, tour of working winery/olive oil farm at our own Villa Buoninsegna.

~Pick up and drop off at Farnese and Rapolano train station, ground transportation for all excursions

1st Week (7 nights) Main Program: June 18-25th Shared room: $1575

or Private Room $1950 (Main Villa or in nearby Bed and Breakfast)

Optional (4 Night) Extension June 25-29th at Villa Buoninsegna  Shared room: $575 or Private room $950

Airfare and transportation to and from airport not included. Airfare from the Bay Area is approximately $1300 (incl. taxes) in June.  Rome airport is approximately 2 hours away from the villas.  Florence is approximately 3 hrs from Farnese and 1:15 hrs from Rapolano.  Both towns can be reached by train or car.  Travel insurance is recommended. 

A deposit check of $500 is needed by April 1, 2012 to hold your space. The remainder of your payment and trip registration form is due by April 15th.  Only 15 participants will be accepted, first come basis.

If you cancel before April 15th any payments already made will be refunded minus a $250 administration fee.

Bio’s

Anna Lorena Doherty, RN, CDE is an experienced holistic health educator, national lecturer and practicing clinician. She has been coordinating lifestyle modification programs since 1985 while working as a research nurse at the Stanford Heart Disease Prevention Program and with the Preventive Medicine Research Institute - Dr. Dean Ornish's studies in reversing heart disease. She currently works in the San Francisco Bay Area as a Certified Diabetes Educator and Cardiac Risk Counselor. As director of Optimal Health Associates, Ann designs and teaches wellness programs to health professionals and the community. Her presentations at this retreat will provide information on the latest medical advances as well as complementary therapies available to prevent disease and promote health.

Anna Marie Enea, MS, RYT is certified in hatha yoga,

meditation, and yoga nidra and has been teaching in the wellness

field for 30+ years.
